3 Day Northern Backpacking Tour

header-belfast-city-hall.jpgDescription:
The North is quickly becoming a must-see for any traveller arriving in Ireland. This tour enables you to focus on Northern Ireland, the little corner of our Motherland so ever present in World Headlines since 1969 but now experiencing a new dawn. We introduce you to local guides and characters and customsof both the Ulster Irish and Ulster British communities. Our overnight stays will be some of the great memoriesof your travels. Downtown Belfast is amazing and the glorious Glens of Antrim are an absolute Irish paradise with Bonnie Scotland in full view 12 miles away. We bravely cross the famous Rope Bridge (consider crossing at your own risk for a small optional charitable donation to the National Trust, the registered UK charity that maintains the Bridge) and see the eighth wonder of the world, the Giants Causeway, before storming formidable Dunluce Castle. Absolutely fantastic photography awaits you on your walking tour of Derry, city walls and scene of ‘Bloody Sunday' in 1972. Be seduced by the charm and athmosphere of Derry on our overnight stay! With breathtaking scenery, genuine and warm locals, unspoiledlandscapes and a living history, ‘Norn Iron' is a real travellers paradise.

Day 1: Dublin to Belfast
Leave Dublin's Paddy Palace at 8am and begin your adventures at Drogheda where youll see the preserved head of St. Oliver Plunkett (executed 1681) in St. Peters Cathedral. Cross the border at South Armagh. A fascinating evening in Belfast awaits. We strongly recommend the world famous Black Taxi tour (optional) to view the Peace wall and political murals.

Day 2: Belfast to Historic Derry
A glorious touring day! Cruise the Beautiful North Coast. You'll see the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (seasonal), walk the Giants Causeway and take fantastic photos of Dunluce Castle.
Overnight in Historic Derry.

Day 3: Derry to Dublin
Begin today with an excellent in-depth walking tour of Derry's walls (1601) and the well known Bogside district.
We'll take in the town of Omagh, a symbol of hope and reconciliation, as we make our way through central Ulster to Armagh (Irelands ecclesiastical capital). Photo stop at Slane Castle, spiritual home of U2 Arriving back in Dublin by around 6pm.

dunluce-castle.jpgPlease note: We reserve the right to amend our intineraries without notice in the interests of your enjoyment, safety and/or in extreme circumstances such national strikes, emergencies, days of national mourning, civil unrest (higly unlikely) etc. Itinerary amendments are extremely rare. Please remember we are proud young Irish patriots, we are determined to ensure you love our Motherland as much as we do.
