I was only able to have breakfast on the day I left Ireland - one of the receptionists said she would ask the kitchen if I could have a roll or some bread to take with me in the mornings as I had to leave for the railtours. I had also booked a smoking room for November 10th and one was not available - would have been nice to have known that beforehand.

Everything about the hotel was excellent especially the location with the street car stop in front of the hotel and the train station across the street. Again many thanks to your staff for making the reservation for me.

Great place to stay. Easily accessable from the airport. Close to anything in Dublin. Great service. We checked in a couple of hours early so they gave us a different room that was ready, no problem.

The people in the restaurant and bar are great. The front desk staff is nice but they need to lern how to give directions. We asked for directions to Belfast and they directed us to the highway that goes to Sligo and Galway.

The Ashling Hotel could use a business center with internet and computer access.

The hotel was undergoing construction while I was there. It wasn't loud or disruptive but the temporary entrance was a little out of the way.

The hotel was undergoing major renovation and was very difficult to get to

Loved the location close to things yet far enough away as well

I can't really comment on the exterior as it was under construction when we stayed so the whole front was missing!! To give them their credit the staff were very patient in obvious disruption to their usual routine - the major construction work was kept to a minimum and didn't interfere with our enjoyment of our stay, (even though the digger was right outside our window!!)
All staff were extremely helpful in advising us of tourist attractions hich would appeal to my children and the best way to see them - giving us bus routes, tram journey's and local maps.
A prime location for visiting the zoo - within walking distance of many other attractions and so close to the Heuston Station, this was a great hotel to use as the base for our short trip. I would certainly recommend it to any one wanting a comfortable stay in Dublin without the hustle and bustle of being right in the centre.
I would be keen to return when the construction is complete and see the renovations and improvements made next year.

Again, rooms smelled a bit musty.

the hotel was fair, the only issue was they put us in a smoking room.

Location was not great. It was a far walk to central Dublin. Even the facilities it advertised to be within walking distance to (such as the Guinness Factory) were not a short walk at all. Thankfully the tram was nearby which made getting to parts of Dublin a little easier.

Location--fair-a bit away from the main area of Dublin, but transportation available
Exterior--fair--nothing special
Accomodation--excellent--given two-room suite
Food--pretty good--only ate the complimentary breakfast, but it was complete and good
Facilities--fair--good car park, internet for fee
Hospitality-fair-friendly non-nationals, but they didn't know what was going on in city--they need a concierge
Value for money--pretty good
"Sorry this is so late but I just wanted to say Thank you so much for planning such a wonderful trip! We enjoyed every aspect of it. I just wanted to let you know that the tax on the Bed & Breakfast's was a Dublin tax." -- Audrey
