Minimum Age:

30+ years - Groups I,M,S,T&W

Driver Licence:
Must hold a current national licence valid for at least 1 year or more at time of rental. Provisional / Learner drivers or seriously endorsed licence holders are not eligible to rent a car e.g. drink driving disqualification.

Maximum Age:
79 years. Clients aged 76 - 79 years inclusive must have the following documentation:
(1) Note from their doctor stating that they are in full health
(2) Note from their insurer's stating that they have not been involved in any accidents within the past 5 years

Baby Seats/Booster Seats
On request basis. EUR 40.00/15.00 per hire or if not returned a charge of EUR 100 will be implemented incl. Tax. Baby / booster seats are suitable for children aged between 6 month - 11 years.

Hours Grace: Guests are allowed a 29 minutes grace period.

One way Rentals:
One way rentals are free of charge between Dublin Airport & Downtown Dublin.  A one way drop will be applicable between Dublin airport, Cork airport & Shannon Airport on rentals bewtween 1-4 days of EUR 50. A one way drop to any other Southern Ireland (locations listed below) will incur the following fees:

1-4 days: One Way Fee of EUR 70
5+ days : One Way Fee of EUR 25

AVIS

Rental Rates include Third Party, Public Liability, Property Damage Insurance, Collision Damage Insurance and Theft Protection & Tax @13.5%.Tyres and keys are not covered by insurance and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Where the renter complies with the Terms & Conditions of our agreement, his/her rental car damage liability is as follows:
Car Group : A, B, C, D, E, F, O, P = EUR€ 1200 + VAT
Car Group : G, H, I, L,  = EUR€ 1800 + VAT

This does not include damage to Tyres or Loss of Keys during the rental

Super CDI: is available to all customers and enables you to reduce the CDI /TP excess as follows:
Car Group : A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I O, L, M, P =EUR (NIL)

Super CDI can be purchased for the following Car Groups and enables you to reduce the CDI/TP excess to NIL:

Theft Protection Insurance
Is included when you purchase your car rental through myguideIreland

Personal Accident Insurance: This insurance is cover for the driver and passengers for personal injury or death.The fee for this is EUR€ 5 incl. VAT per day and is payable directly to AVIS.

Licence Requirements
A valid drivers licence must be presented when picking up your rental car. Drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years, issued in their country of residence and must have at least 2 years continuous driving experience immediately prior to the rental. UK drivers must bring the counterfoil paper section of their licence along with the card. Failure to adhere to to this condition will result in the insurance being null and void.

Age Limits:
23 - no upper age limit on Car Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, O, and P
25 - no upper age limit  on Car Groups H, I, L,

Additional Driver Charge:
Additional drivers are charged EUR €9.500 per day including VAT
8 Day plus rentals the charge is Euro€59.50 per additional driver including VAT

Young driver surcharge:
There is a Young Drivers Charge for drivers aged 23 and 24 of Euro€11.90 including VAT per day

Airport Surcharge:
This charge is included in the myguideIreland rate.

Meet Late Arrival Fee:There is a €50 charge per rental for meeting late arrivals. This is on a request basis only. Customers contact details must be provided.

Luggage Racks: These are not available.

Child Seats: Available upon request and need to be booked in advance.

Refuelling
AVIS vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and provided the vehicle is refuelled on the termination of the rental, no refuelling charge is payable.

Delivery & Collection Charges:
Cost approximately €175 incl VAT but please check with your myguideIreland guide

Hours of Grace: AVIS shall allow 29 minutes grace .After this time the client shall be charged an additional day at the AVIS tariff.

Parking Fines/Speeding Fines/Toll Charges:

Are the responsibility of the customer.

353 car rental

Credit Card Authorisation
All customers are required to provide a credit card to comply with the terms of our rental agreement. A pre-authorisation to the value of the CDR excess is required from all renters prior to the commencement of their rental. This is to cover costs that may be associated to vehicle damage, petrol, traffic violations and penalties they may incur.

Delivery / Collection Service
We will provide a delivery service from 09:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday at a charge of EUR 2 per km. Outside these hours, customer will be required to collect from our nearest branch.

Special delivery charges to marinas
Glasson, Tullybay, Beleek, Belturbet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Williamstown, Ballinamore, Killeadeas, Lisnairick, Portuma & Banagher all EUR 125 plus VAT.

Out of hours charge
Out of hours fee (late fee) will be charged at EUR 50 plus VAT.

One Way Rentals
Rentals within the R.O.I for five days or less there is a charge. Rentals commencing or terminating from Dublin Airport, Cork Airport or Shannon Airport the fee is €50 plus VAT. Rentals commencing or terminating from any other branch the fee is €80 plus VAT. Rentals within the R.O.I for six days or more there is no charge. Rentals commencing from any branch in the Republic of Ireland terminating at Belfast International Airport (BFS) or Belfast City Airport (BHD) will incur a charge of €180.00 plus VAT regardless of the length of rental.

Valet charge
If a vehicle is deemed to require an extensive valet by our staff (upholstery and carpet shampoo) there will be an additional charge depending on the extent of the cleaning required. This amount can vary between EUR 50 - EUR 150 depending on the cleaning required

Grace Period
A one hour grace period will be provided at the end of each rental, after this a further days rental will be charged.

Child seat/Booster seat
EUR40 (plus VAT) per rental. We do not supply rear faing infant seats.

Declining 353 Car Rental/National CDR cover
To decline 353 car rental CDR cover the customer must have written proof that their credit card has relevant cover while driving in Ireland. If a relevant letter is not produced at the time of the commencement of the rental, then 353 car rental CDR cover must be purchased.

Customers using their credit card as CDR cover
All customers presenting their credit card as CDR cover, must produce a letter from their bank stating
a) The bank will cover the damage to the rental car up to the full value
b) The bank's CDR cover policy is applicable for car rental in Ireland
c) Under the Irish Road Traffic Act, Third Party Insurance is mandatory and must provide unlimited cover for third parties.
The credit card's CDR policy does not extend insurance cover to third parties. To comply with the State's Road Traffic Act, it is mandatory for all driver's of our rental vehicles to provide third party insurance cover. This insurance is available for sale at all our branch offices.

Licence Requirements
A valid drivers licence must be presented when picking up your rental car. Failure to adhere to to this condition will result in the insurance being null and void. International drivers licence is not required. 

Payment policy
Cash Payment is not accepted. Acceptable credit cards are VISA, Diners, Mastercard and Amex.Travellers cheques and EUR cheques are not accepted.

Extension of Rental / Updates
Where the customer requires the vehicle for a longer period than the agreed rental period, the customer must notify us at least two hours prior to the termination of the agreed rental period. If 353 car rental require termination of the vehicle, the customer will be liable for all costs incurred by 353 car rental as a result of termination. 353 car rental reserves the right, in the event of such failure of notification to use whatever means it may choose to recover vehicle.

Condition of vehicle upon delivery
All vehicles supplied will be prepared to 353 car rental's Ready for Rent standard set out in the pre-rental checklist. All vehicle damage will be noted on the damage report prior to rental. It is the responibility of the renter to report any additional damage which has not been recorded on the damage report document prior to the commencement of their rental.

Condition of vehicle upon return
353 car rental require the vehicle to be returned (normal wear and tear excepted) in the same condition as when rented. Normal wear and tear is defined as that wear on the mechanical and electronic components (including tyres) which is caused by normal every day driving.

Fuel Policy
Fuel is paid on commencement of rental. This is a mandatory requirement regardless of the fuel option the renter selects.

Option A: Your rental vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel at a discounted price. This is paid at the commencement of your rental. Your rental vehicle should be returned with an empty fuel tank. There is no refund to partial fuel tanks.
Option B: Your rental vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel. This is paid at the commencement of your rental. You are required to return your rental vehicle with a full fuel tank. A fuel receipt is required as proof of fuel purchase within 5 km of our terminating rental station. In case where your rental vehicle is not returned with a full fuel tank, or a fuel receipt is not produced you will be charged for a full tank of fuel.

Irish Residents
Renters who normally reside in the Republic of Ireland (including non-nationals) are required to meet the following conditions:
1. Minimum age 30 years
2. Minimum 2 years continuous driving experience immediately prior to commencement of rental.
3. Non-nationals who are resident in Ireland for 4 weeks or more must meet conditions 1 & 2.

Administration charge - Traffic violations and accident documentation
The renter is responsible for all penalties incurred relating to traffic offences - parking tickets, clamping fines, compound charges, speeding fines and also the provision of documentation relating to accidents. In cases where the renter has purchased additional insurance from their reservation agent to cover 353 car rental Ireland's CDR excess and in the event of an accident where we are required to collect the CDR excess, it is the responibility of the renter to provide all relevant documentation to their reservation agent or insurer to recover their CDR excess amount. If the renter fails to pay fines, penalties or requests 353 car rental Ireland to colate accident documentation we will an administration fee of EUR 50 plus VAT.

Age Limits 23 - 74 years
There is an underage surcharge of €10 (plus VAT) for drivers aged between 23-26. Drivers from the age of 23 until their 28th birthday are resricted to driving cars of 1400cc or less- Groups EBMN, EDMN, CDMN, EDAN & CDAN. The minimum age for Minibuses and executive cars is 30 years. Holders of Irish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Israeli lincences the minimum age limit is 28 years.

Accidents
In the event of a traffic accident, the renter must advise a 353 car rental representative immediately giving full details of the incident. The renter must not admit liability for the accident to any third party. In cases where there is property damage to the rental vehicle or third party vehicle the provision of a replacement car is entirely at the discretion of 353 car rental car rental and their insurer. Where a replacement car is provided a daily insurance rate of EUR 25 (plus VAT) is applicable. Where a decision is taken not to provide a replacement car, there is no refund for for the unexpired portion of the rental. Towing charges are not covered in CDR excess.

Towing Charges
In cases where our rental vehicle is immobilised during the rental period, towing charges are payable by the renter.

Property
The customer acknowledges that any property left in the rental vehicle is at their own risk and that 353 car rental has no such responsibility for such property.

Key Charge
Where keys to vehicles supplied by 353 car rental are lost whilst vehicle is on rent, a charge of EUR 190.00 will apply for replacement key, plus recovery costs where applicable.

All charges are subject to VAT, currently 13.5% (excluding fuel, which is VAT inclusive).

Irish Car Rental

CDW - Collision Damage Waiver - Covering the rental car for damage caused to it by the hirer or a third party in the event of an accident or accidental damage being caused during the hire. Tyres, windscreens, glass, the interior and undercarraige of the vehicle are not covered.
CDW is included in our rates

TP - Theft Protection - covering the rental car for damage caused to/or loss of if stolen or if there is an attempted robbery of the hire vehicle. Personal belongings in the vehicle are NOT covered by Theft Protection. Theft Protection is included in our rates

The following optional extras are not included in our rates and can be purchased directly from the car rental company when picking up the car.

Excess - The Excess amount is the financial reponsibility of the hirer in the event of damage being caused to the hire car during the hire. Excess Amounts are charged per incident i.e if two separate accidents then the client is charged the excess amount twice. Excess Amounts include Vat.

SDW - Super Damage Waiver - this limits hirers financial responsibility in the event of damage being caused to the hire vehicle during the hire. When/if purchased SDW will only reduced the excess amount to Euro 100. It can not vbe reduced to zero. SDW insurance does not cover damage to Tyres, Wheels, Windscreen, glass, the vehicle interior or undercarraige. All drivers under 25 and over 70 are liable for the first 1500 Euro of damage to the car (excess). This excess can not be reduced by purchasing SDW. SDW is charged per day + Vat @13.5%

EXDR - Extra Driver. The cost of adding an additional driver (aged 25 to 69) is € 8.79 charged per day + Vat @13.5%

PAI - Personal Accident Insurance insurance covers the driver for personal injuries or fatality up to the sum of EURO 31,900. PAI is charged per day + Vat @13.5%

Drivers License Requirements
All drivers must be in possession of a full-unendorsed driver's license at the time of rental. (Certain minor endorsements may be acceptable, please call us prior to booking). UK drivers must bring the counterfoil paper section of their licence along with the card. All drivers must have held a full driver's license for at least 12 months prior to hiring a car with Irish Car Rentals and must present themselves with their full -unendorsed driver's license at the location at the time of rental.
Holders of US, Canadian, Australian and All EU member states are NOT required to supply an International Driving License (IDL). An International Driving License (IDL) is required if your national driver's license is not in Roman script. International driver's licenses MUST BE accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. (This is clearly stated on the international license).

Age Requirements - Restrictions
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25 years and drivers must have held a full driver's licence for at least 12 months prior to hiring a car. There is no maximum age limit.

Collision Damage Insurance (CDW)
This is included in your Inclusive Rental rate. This option limits your financial liability for damage to the Irish Car Rentals vehicle, its parts and accessories, except theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The cover is subject to an insurance excess - (see rates sheet for relevant excess amounts per car class)

CDW Excess - Excess Liability
A CDW Excess will apply at all times. All rentals are subject to a liability excess, ranging from EURO 1200 to EURO 1800 (depending on the vehicle group rented) for which you are responsible in the event of damage to the vehicle during the rental.

Super Damage Waiver Insurance (SDW)
If you opt for CDW cover, you may also wish to purchase an additional protection, Super Damage Waiver Insurance (SDW) to reduce the already limited liability in case of damage to the vehicle. SDW reduces your excess liability of EURO 1200 EURO 100 for a charge of EURO 9.95 per day on smaller vehicles. The excess on luxury cars, minivans and minibuses is EURO 1800 and can be reduced to EURO 100 for an additional charge of EURO 15 per day. SDW insurance does not cover damage to Tyres, Wheels, Windscreen, glass, the vehicle interior or undercarraige

Premium Insurance Option (PIO)
If you opt for CDW cover, you may also wish to purchase an additional protection, Premium Insurance Option(PIO) to reduce the already limited liability in case of damage to the Sixt ICR vehicle. PIO reduces your excess liability of EURO 1200 to zero for a charge of € 14.95 per day on standard vehicles. This option also covers damage to the windscreen, glass and wing mirrors which are not covered by SDW. This option is not presently available on minivans and luxury vehicles.

Windscreen Cover (WINDINS)
If you opt for CDW cover and decide not to reduce the overall excess you may wish to purchase windscreen cover as the windscreen, wing mirrors and glass are the items most often damaged. This insurnace covers all of the above and can be purchased at a cost of E5.00 per day on all vehicles.

AA Breakdown and Recovery Service
Customers will now be liable for the cost of callouts of the AA Breakdown and Recovery Service if the callout is as a result of driver error. Driver error will include keys being mislaid, or locked into the vehicled, incorrect fuel put in vehicle or wheel change due to puncture and off-road recovery as off-road driving is prohibited. If the AA Breakdown & Revocvery Service is called for any of these reasons the customer will be liable for the cost which is €100.

Theft Loss Insurance
This is included in your Inclusive rental rate. This insurance option limits your financial liability for loss or theft of the vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. By accepting Theft Loss Insurance you are subject to an Insurance excess. Where Theft Loss Protection is not included please see assoctiaed Optional Extras page with detail as to cost.

Methods of Payment
Irish Car Rentals accepts MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, American Express and Diners Club. We regret we can not accept Switch cards, debit cards (other than Visa Delta) or cash. A named driver must present their credit card on collection of the vehicle. We regret we can not accept the credit card of a third party who will not be present at the time of the rental. At the time of rental there must be sufficient credit on the card to cover all charges including any insurance excess, in the case of customers using Visa Delta cards the excess deposit will be charged to the card rather than preauthorised as is the case with credit cards.

Personal Accident Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is available for EURO 6 per day on all vehicles. This insurance covers the driver for personal injuries or fatality up to the sum of EURO 31,900.

Speeding - Parking and other Endorsements/ Fines
Speeding - Parking and other Endorsements/ Fines are the responsibility of the hirer in full. Irish Car Rentals accepts no responsibility for any fine or payment. The renter is obliged to inform Irish Car Rentals of any fines or parking tickets issued whilst the vehicle is being used by the renter.

Car Types Available
Irish Car Rentals operates a fleet with many different makes and models of cars. Whilst every effort will be made to supply the reserved model, we reserve the right to supply a suitable alternative. Please note that we cannot guarantee a particular make or model. All cars are equipped with car radios and either cassette players or CD players. Every effort will be made when you arrive to provide a car with either a CD player or cassette player (depending on your preference). We can not guarantee a CD player or cassette player when you reserve your car.

Road Fund tax

This is included in your Inclusive Rental rate. Where not included the cost is Euro 1.34 per day.

Baby Seats - Child Seats
Baby seats are available by prior notification and are subject to a minimum 48 hours notice at an additional cost of EURO 49 per rental. Baby seats are NOT available for children under 6 months old. Child seats are mandatory by law in Ireland for children aged from 6 months to 4.5 years.

Additional named drivers
Additional drivers can be added for an additional daily charge per driver. Additional drivers must be over 25 and in posession of a full unendorsed driving licence for a minimum of 1 year.

Fuel Policy
All clients are charged a fuel deposit on arrival. This varies by car class and model supplied on the day. Clients have two options on return. 1. Return Full and receive a full refund and 2. Return the vehicle and do not fill the car up. There is no refund for unused fuel.

Airport Fee
This is included in your Inclusive Rental rate. Where not included the rate is Euro 25.00 + Vat @13.5%

Cross Border Hire - Northern Ireland
Should you wish to drive in the Northern Ireland it is a requirement of rental that you inform Irish Car Rentals that you wish to do so prior to leaving the rental location. There is a nominal EURO 25 fee when taking your car into Northern Ireland. We must be informed at the beginningof the rental. Cars can not be taken off the island of Ireland at any stage.

Late fees - After Hours Fees
Dublin Airport: For collection after 23:00 a late fee of EURO 25 applies to all bookings
Shannon Airport: For collection after 00:00 (midnight) a late fee of EURO 25 applies to all bookings
Cork Airport: For collection after 22:00 a late fee of EURO 25 applies to all bookings
Kerry Airport: For collection after 21:00 a late fee of EURO 25 applies to all bookings
Knock Airport:For collectiom after scheduled opening times a late fee of E25.00 applies to all bookings.

Requirements for renting a motorcycle:

• Everyone that rents a motorcycle from us must be 21 years of age or over and hold a full motorcycle license for one year or more.
• Valid Driver's License from country or state of permanent residence.

• Motorcycle Rental Ireland accepts the major credit cards: Master Card, Visa, American Express.

• All bikes must be locked when not in use.
• Damage excess of between €750 and €1500 is reserved on your credit card on collection of motorcycle depending on choice of model. This is the maximum cost charged in the event of damage or theft.
  
• Motorcycle Rental Ireland offices must be notified immediately of any accidents.
  
• In the event of an accident, full damage deposit will be taken from the authorised credit card and held by Motorcycle Rental Ireland until repair estimates are received.
  

• Both myguideIreland and Motor Cycle Ireland want our customers to enjoy our service and the roads of Ireland. We provide our bikes to our renters in good faith that they will treat them with the respect that they deserve and renters are expected to adhere to Irish laws while using our bikes. Unpaid fines or penalties incurred by renters will be deducted from the deposit.
• Together myguideIreland and Motor Cycle Ireland work extremely hard to ensure that the bikes are in excellent condition for our Guests. As such, the bikes are rented strictly for use on roads only. The bikes are not to be taken off road or onto beaches. Strict financial penalties will be applied to renters taking our bikes off road or onto beaches.
  

• Bikes cannot be taken out of the country without prior agreement with the management of Motor Cycle Ireland.

• Bikes taken out of the Ireland or the United Kingdom must be covered by hirers fully comprehensive insurance.

• The unlimited mileage clause of our terms and conditions does not apply to motorcycles taken out of the country. Excess mileage rates will be negotiated separately.
