Overlooking a stunning stretch of sandy beach in rugged West Cork, Barley Cove Cottages provide ideal family accommodation for up to five people.
Situated at Barley Cove Bay along the scenic Mizen Head peninsula, these fabulous cottages are a stones throw from the golden sands of a Blue Flag beach. The accommodation incorporates contemporary features and designs with all the modern facilities of home in a beautiful surrounding.
The cottages are situated close to the Barley Cove Beach Hotel, which has a restaurant and pub serving good food and beers.
Please note that the hotel is opened
weekends only (Thursday through to Sunday) up until the October Bank
Holiday (when it'll be opened 22 through 26 October). After the October
Bank Holiday, the hotel will close seasonally.
Located on the far-flung south western peninsula of Mizen Head between the villages of Goleen and Crookhaven, the setting really makes these cottages special. Barley Cove is a large golden sandy beach, backed by dunes in what is designated a special conservation area.
Local Activities/Attractions
Discover spectacular Mizen Head and Mizen Vision, the Irish Lights Signal Station Visitor Centre. Schull Planetarium, Skibbereen, Baltimore and West Cork Model Railway in Clonakilty are all only a short drive away. If you prefer to relax, there are golden sandy beaches within easy access, which are ideal for swimming or other water sporting activities. Visit the Islands of Cape Clear and Sherkin or relax while riding, angling or sailing. Barely Cove also offers some breathtaking coastal walks and there is a wide range of golf courses to choose from.
