The Brehon Hotel

A fresh hotel for Killarney, the Brehon opened in 2004, boasting high class, contemporary elegance, deluxe accommodation and a luxurious far-eastern Spa.

The Brehon is an attractive modern hotel situated along the exclusive Muckross Road, just out from the centre of Killarney. The hotel's name reflects the ancient Irish tradition of hospitality, encompassed centuries ago in the Brehon Laws, which governed the society of Erin in the Dark Ages. Under Brehon Law it was a privileged obligation to offer hospitality to those who entered your home.

In appropriate fashion the Brehon offers very high standards of hospitality in very exuberant surroundings. From the expansive and stylish lobby, the "oh so chic" reds in the designer bar, to the stylish softly lit restaurant, the Brehon is very impressive.

Each of the deluxe bedrooms are fabulously appointed and designed to the highest standards with cool modern features and the very latest in facilities. Beds are luxuriously large, bathrooms are stylish and spacious and the rooms have excellent views of the surrounding Kerry countryside.

The Brehon's stylish restaurant offers a fine dining experience, with an award-winning Chef at the helm creating a rich and varied menu using the finest local produce and complimented by a fine selection of wines.

The Brehon also boasts the luxurious Angsana Spa, a unique Asian experience using ancient techniques from the Far East. The Spa is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including, Herb Sauna and Crystal steam room, Caldarium Razol Relaxation Room, Ice Room, Hot & Cold Spa, Tropical Showers, 6 Treatment Rooms, Vitality Pool with underwater seating & hydro therapy jets, Tropical Showers as well as a full range of beauty treatments. The perfect place to be pampered relaxed and reinvigorated.

Just 100 metres from the Brehon is Ireland's National Events Centre (INEC) venue for music, theatre and dance, while the bustling centre of Killarney is less than a mile away. The Brehon is also just as close to the serene beauty of the Muckross Estate and scenic National Park, where you can ride in a horse drawn jaunting car or take a boat cruise along the lakes. The Brehon is also well located for golfing with the famous courses at Killarney, Ballybunion and Waterville close by.

Location was perfect. A short walk to shopping and dinning along with a beautiful view on the mountain ranges. Exterior and Interior was modern and beautiful yet fit perfectly in the quaint town. Staff was very helpful and friendly (especially the morning waitress who intiated a conversation and gave some helpful tips). Facilities were not used. The Brehon Hotel was well worth the cost and one of our favorite hotels.

The Brehon was a very good choice for our family with older teenagers. All the staff, from chambermaid upwards, were very attentive and friendly. The waiters and waitresses were well trained and it was a treat to be looked after so well. Excellent food, good rooms, ample parking. A special thank you to the "front of house"staff.

Testimonials

"I just wanted to let you know our Ireland trip was fabulous!!
Thank you so much!
Your recommendation to Adare Manor was a top tip!
I went to Ashford Castle as well, it was very very nice to, but my preference is still Adare Manor.
I just wish that I had booked 2 nights there instead of just one.
The B&Bs were TOP too! Especially the one in Kilkieren up in Galway. Barbara was lovely and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable.
The Hillside House is definately one you can recommend to anyone!" -- Silke
