Butlers Town House

A red brick town house, Butlers is a classy and elegant hotel set in the exclusive neighbourhood of Ballsbridge, near the heart of Dublin.

Situated in the tree-lined streets of Dublin's Victorian quarter, the red brick facade and stately blue doorway of Butlers Town House, transports guests into a bygone era of graceful charm and tranquillity. Butlers' refined public areas are interwoven with Victorian elegance and charm, together with all the convenience of a modern hotel.

Each of the spaciously appointed guest rooms are designed in keeping with the Victorian theme of the hotel, with period furnishings, four-poster beds and luxurious bathrooms. And each is also equipped with modern essentials like air conditioning and Internet access.

Though Butlers Town House don't have an evening dining restaurant, gourmet breakfast from, eggs Benedict, French toast, traditional Irish breakfast and freshly baked breads are served in the Conservatory and luncheon of fresh fillet of beef, fresh soup and sandwiches and afternoon teas can be served on the terrace or in the privacy of your own room. The Library is the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail, a fine Irish whiskey, or a class of wine from the hotels well stocked cellars.

Butlers Town House is ideal for exploring Dublin with a little refinement, close enough to see the sights, take in a show at the theatre, enjoy the music and craic at Temple Bar and far enough to escape the hoi polloi.

Shone Gray on Tue Jun 30 2009

The location for what I wanted to see couldn't be further from the hotel The manager, Cecilia was pure delight, full of knowledge and goodness. I LOVE her!!!!

Carol Wolfe on Tue May 5 2009

Ok a bit off the track from the city if that is the expectation that people want to go to city

Garry Mcmanus on Mon Dec 1 2008

Our first night was disturbed by the 'bakolite' telephone continually ringing. at 1.30. 4.50., 5.10., and 6.30.AM. Although this still remains a mystery, we returned on our second night to get a short siesta, but wwoke at 12.55 AM as we we so shattered. Cecelia was delightful, but the location was short of the City Centre. We would avoid Dublin if we visited again.

Barbara Mcdermid on Tue Aug 14 2007

Rooms bit on the small side, but somewhat expected for type of property. Very well appointed and comfortable.

A complete disaster, not worth the price at all. We were extremely disappointed!

Kurt Kabbe on Thu Oct 12 2006

Due to overbooking we were moved to the Pembroke House which was an outstanding place. If we ever return to Dublin this will be our choice of accomodations.

David Solomon on Thu Oct 5 2006

The rooms ane very nice, but too small in my opinion. But I like the fact that the rooms are different and individual.

Amela Cardaklija on Thu Mar 16 2006

Testimonials

"I just wanted to let you know our Ireland trip was fabulous!!
Thank you so much!
Your recommendation to Adare Manor was a top tip!
I went to Ashford Castle as well, it was very very nice to, but my preference is still Adare Manor.
I just wish that I had booked 2 nights there instead of just one.
The B&Bs were TOP too! Especially the one in Kilkieren up in Galway. Barbara was lovely and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable.
The Hillside House is definately one you can recommend to anyone!" -- Silke
