Carne Golf Club was the last links course to be designed by Eddie Hackett, and it may be his finest achievement ever. This beautiful links course is truly the pot of gold at the end of a distant rainbow. It may not have the fame of Waterville , and getting to Carne will take you out to one of Ireland's most remote westerly points, but the sheer experience of this natural masterpiece is a just reward.
With its swinging valleys, countless mounds and dunes, and rich coastal greens, Carne captures the essence of Irish links golf.
Comments
During the construction of Carne, Eddie Hackett took extreme care not to cause undue disturbance to this wild and ancient landscape.

"Sorry this is so late but I just wanted to say Thank you so much for planning such a wonderful trip! We enjoyed every aspect of it. I just wanted to let you know that the tax on the Bed & Breakfast's was a Dublin tax." -- Audrey
