Live like Lords and Ladies or like one of the family with our Castles & Family Homes' fly-drive tour, staying in some of Ireland's finest castles and cosiest family run B&Bs.
The tour starts at Shannon spending your first night at Ballyseede Castle (or Adare Manor subject to availability). The 15th century Ballyseede Castle is an ideal base for a memorable vacation.Â
From Ballyseede Castle your route follows the beautiful south west coast of Ireland, where you'll be welcomed in traditional family run Bed & Breakfasts at beautiful locations of your own choosing, (with over 1000 in the South West and South East of Ireland to choose from) while our Ireland vacation specialists are on hand to guide you.
Your last night is spent in the lap of luxury at Clontarf Castle. Dating back to 1172, Clontarf Castle was built by the Norman adventurer Hugh de Lacy, though the area is recorded in earlier Irish History for the famous Battle of Clontarf which saw the victory, but demise of Ireland's last High King Brian Boru, in 1014.
The castle today was completely rebuilt in 1837 and opened as a four star hotel in 1998.
