Excellent hotel, great knowledgeable staff, let us in to our room very early, Top hotel loved it!

Hotel has a great location in the heart of Cork City. The accommodations are bright and spacious. The executive rooms are located on corners of the hotel. These are large and bright and only have views of the river side of the hotel. The leisure facilities are very impressive. Including an Essence Spa, Indoor pool and fully equipped gym. There are 2 options for dining within the hotel.First of all Sinergie which includes Irish and European cuisine. Secondly Kudos which offers an Asian menu.

Very modern hotel in central location. Lovely deck on the river, very European feel.

Genevieve Tuit on Tue Sep 11 2007

Nice breakfast. Not happy that our luggage sat in the lobby for 1 1/2 hours while we were on our walking tour, and then most people had to take theirs to their rooms so we could go to dinner. Our room had no airconditioning and after two people looked at it I requested another room and was told I had to wait as another group just arrived and it was 1st come 1st serve, so I reminded her that I was there 1st and she found a room. Also this it the hotel that misplaced Helen's luggage.

Ann, Ronald and Jason Peaslee on Sun Sep 2 2007

The staff was very rude to Ann Peaslee and this hotel never brought our luggage to our rooms. We had to carry our own luggage up to our room.

Hotel charged me about $20 for calls to a cell phone mailbox, which I didn't think was fair. Asked them to eliminate the charge and they would not. Disappointed in what Cork had to offer. Cobh was interesting.

Excellent Cork city centre location, quite corporate, generic feeling slightly lacking in warmth and character. Beautifully appointed, very modern. Very comfortable rooms, spacious and bright.

Joan O'Connell on Tue Nov 29 2005

city location-excellent- will suit city loving people. broadband connections in every room. essense spa is gorgeous. staff not very welcoming. very much a corporate-run hotel. corridors to bedrooms tend to be office like. contemporay public area. a bit soul-less although extremely classy.

The Clarion is the newest hotel in Cork, It had a sterile feeling about it when you went in to the lobby, They have two resturants one which offers asian menu and the other traditional irish food with a twist, the facilities were very good with leisure centre and a spa. Pertect for short city break as it is located on the river lee and a five minute walk to city centre, howevere it had a very cooperate feel to it.
