Named in memoriam for the man whose unique
vision and passion for heritage gave rise to its design, Conor’s Bar is an
award-winning, rustic cellar bar located inside one of only 30 great Irish
castle estates still fun by the original family.
With plush leather chairs, antique wooden
tables, original wood-planked floors, and cozy hidden alcoves, Conor’s Bar
welcomes its guests into an unusual, eccentric, and charming maze of period
rooms. It offers, as well, a variety of menu choices from soup starters to sandwiches
to full-course meals, desserts, specialty coffees, and wines, and liquers.
As part of Castle Leslie, Conor’s Bar is
dedicated to the old castle’s legacy of love for the equestrian...and thereby,
the bar retains unique touches of decor ringing back to a time when travel on
horseback was both a necessity and a luxury. An 1800’s bridle, set of reins,
and bits draped inconspicuously on hooks and chairbacks remind guests of
Leslie’s equestrian present and past, just as devoted developer, Conor, intended.
It was...and is...Conor’s Bar. Unique, eccentric, delightful.
