The island covers 37 acres and is famous for its collection of plants and is known to many as an island garden of rare beauty. The village also have some magnificent views of Bantry Bay, the Glengarriff coastline and the mountains around it.

The house has 3 bedrooms accommodating 5 persons with 1 double room upstairs, bathroom upstarts, 2 single rooms one of which has a pull out bed for the 5th person and also a living room with open fire and dining room area with a fully fitted kitchen containing cooker, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer. Linen is provided but towels are not provided in any of the homes.
