| Situated in the tranquil rural countryside just 3 miles from Adare, Fanningstown Castle is a graceful tower house castle set within carefully kept gardens. Inside Fanningstown Castle's charming interiors are lovingly kept, the lounge, library, elegant dinging room and light and airy kitchen, mix country house style, with a touch of the medieval and interesting Strawberry Gothic door arches. The castle can cater for up to ten people with five sumptuous bedrooms decorated in rich warm reds and mahogany to be cosy and rustic, while spacious and airy.
The homely and rustic kitchen is equipped with all modern facilities and a small dining area separate from the main dining room. Outside Fanningstown has a sheltered rear garden with BBQ facilities.
Just a short drive away is Adare, a village that boasts a rich heritage and is famous for its outdoor pursuits and country sports. Adare is also home to the famous Robert Trent Jones designed golf course at Adare Manor and there are also famous courses nearby at Ballybunion and Lahinch. Fanningstown is also a perfect retreat for anglers, who will enjoy the Brown Trout runs on the castle's private stretch of the River Maigue and for equestrian pursuits, there is a world class Equestrian Centre at nearby Clonshire.
