Description
This is a popular place for sea-lovers, with a hotel and
pubs conveniently located along the water.
It is a good place for yachting.
What to See and Do
We came during the Glandore Classic Regatta and observed
tons of kids having a hoot in the water.
Visit Drombeg Stone Circle on the outskirts of town. The Glandore Inn has set dancing classes
Mondays and Thursdays, and a disco on Saturdays.
Where to Eat and
Drink
The Marine serves food and is also an accommodation. Yassou Café is right along the
waterfront. Haye's Bar appeared a fun,
local place for a drink.
Where to Sleep
Kilfinnan Farm is 3km from town. The Meadow Camping is a place to pitch your
tent. The Marine Hotel looks like a fine
spot for a night's rest. The Glandore
Inn is another option. Glandore Cottages
self-catering accommodations (www.glandorecottages.com).
How to get there
By car:
From Skibbereen, take the N71 east to Leap, then head south
on the R597 road to Glandore.
From Rosscarbery, take the R597 road to Glandore.
By bus:
