Hayfield Manor Hotel

Class, grace and opulence all go to describing the Hayfield Manor, one of Ireland's top five star hotels, tucked away in a quiet corner of Cork City.

Situated in secluded leafy grounds, the Hayfield Manor is the image of timeless style associated with Manor houses of the Georgian era, so it will come as a great surprise to find it was built in 1996 rather than 1796! Great care has gone into the design of the Hayfield Manor to accurately reproduce the graceful architectural features of a large period manor house.

Inside the Hayfield's features are also an elegant reminder of a bygone age, the reception and Library are furnished with sumptuous chesterfields and deep red carpets while the drawing room offers refined comfort in light and airy surroundings where award winning afternoon teas are served. The Hayfield also has an enclosed walled garden, which is modelled like the gardens of Muckross House and is a delightful suntrap during the summer months.

Each of the guest rooms at the Hayfield are individually decorated to the very highest standards and are splendidly spacious. Incorporating impeccable taste and exquisite design, the guest rooms boast handsome marble bathrooms, fabulous period furnishings and the finest fabrics, together with all the necessary modern facilities and sumptuous luxuries.

Dining at the Hayfield is a suitably gastronomic experience which the Head Chef describes as French, but Irish at heart with select main dishes including; Whole Roasted Irish Lobster Flambe with Whiskey and served simply with Fresh Organic Spring Baby Vegetables and a Vanilla Sauce, and Tournedos of Wicklow Beef topped with Creme Fraiche and Fresh Horseradish Braised Ox Cheek set on Scallion Potato Puree, Port Braised Shallot. With an extensive wine cellar to compliment its cuisine, it's no wonder that the Hayfield's restaurant has won international praise.

The Hayfield also boasts an exclusive Health Spa where residents can enjoy a wide range of facilities and beauty therapies to invigorate, relax and revitalise. While close to the Hayfield you'll find two of Ireland's most famous golf courses, Fota Golf Resort and the Old Head Golf Links in Kinsale.

This was our very favorite. The consseiuer(sp?) made the stay perfect. His name was Bart and I highly recommend this hotel to all. The women at the front desk were extremely helpful as well. They helped us to find a hurling match and gace us directions. Very friendly and beautiful atmosphere.

This was a perfect place to spend the Christmas holiday-- the service was impeccable and the food was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and tried not to think about expensive it all was.

Lovely, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. I loved the SPA with the heated indoor swimming pool, the hot tub and the steam room. Very relaxing and not too busy. Breakfast was very rich and the food high class. I would definitely recommend this Manor House for a luxurious city break!

Loved the hotel and staff. Bart who gave us a show around is a gem to be treasured. He had a word for us every time we met him and couldn't have been more helpful to us and to everyone I saw him interact with. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Great pool, hot tub and steam room for relaxing. Very nice meal in the bistro and very comfortable beds made for a very relaxing and relaxed weekend. Great breakfast until 11 a.m. on Sunday is exactly what you need. Other hotels take note!

One of the best hotels I have visited, the location is amazing even though you are in the city center you feel as though you are staying in a country house, the staff were extremely friendly and very polite, the food was excellent, I would highly recommend this hotel to any guest.

The location of the property is suitable for all.It is close to the city centre (10 minute Walk) and it is surrounded by gardens which gives it the country feel. You would not know you are in the city. All rooms air conditioned with 24 hour room service. individual touch to each room. The rooms are bright and large. The executive suite is large with a bedroom, separate living room and bathroom. All of the rooms are large and bright and have broadband access. The accommodations are really impressive. The hotel has a Spa and hair salon. There is also a gym, out doorJacuzzi, indoor heated swimming pool and steam room. Perrotts menu is varied greatly with a large selection from all over the world. Orchids is the more formal of the two restaurants with comtempory Irish Cuisine.Prebooking is necessary. This really is a 5 star property. I would not hesitate in recommending it to any one travelling to Cork.

Very quiet location within walking distance of city center. Exceptionally good dinner service with exquisite food. Unfortunately this standard was not maintained for the breakfast service. This is a more traditional hotel and very reasonably priced for a 5* hotel. If you stay here be sure to dine in Orchids.
