Experience some of the great landscapes of the west and north of Ireland on this nine day tour. Visit the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, the Giant's Causeway, the Ulster American Folk Park and Newgrange or Knowth. Stay at superior hotels and two nights in the wonderful Cabra Castle. Optional you can extend your tour for 2 more nights in Dublin City.

 

Day 1: Arrival

A transfer will be arranged from Shannon Airport to your hotel between 7:00am and 12 noon.

You will then need to check in to your hotel near Bunratty castle. The rest of the day is free which gives you plenty of time to explore. (D)

Day 2: Cliffs of Moher & Galway

On day 2 of your tour you will meet your driver as well as your guide in the hotel lobby at 12.30pm. Once the group has gathered, you will head to the the coast to view the Cliffs of Moher.  You will then continue to Galway before checking in to your hotel, which overlooks Galway Bay. You will enjoy a fine dinner at the hotel this evening. (B, D)

Day 3: “Quiet Man” Walking Tour & Connemara

The third day includes a drive to Cong where “The Quiet Man” movie was made in 1952. You will be retared to a guided walk which will showcase the places featured in the movie.

Next you will travel through Connemara for sweeping views of misty mountains and shimmering lakes. Stopping briefly at Kylemore Abbey Visitor Centre, the tour will continue to Clifden, which is a delightful market town set between the Twelve Pins Mountains and sandy bays.

Later that evening you will return to your hotel to relax before enjoying traditional Irish food in the hotel restaurant. (B, D)

Day 4: Country Life Museum & Belleek

Day 4 includes travelling north to Castlebar where you will find the Museum of Country Life. On display here are articles used in everyday life during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Next you will continue to County Sligo where you can stop at Drumcliffe Churchyard and visit the grave of the famous Irish writer, W. B. Yeats.

The tour will follow the shoreline of Donegal Bay before paying a visit the Belleek Pottery Factory where craftspeople mould, shape and decorate clay, creating the world-famous fine china.

Your journey will continue to Barnesmore Gap in Derry. Then you will be able to enjoy some free time before dinner. (B, D)

Day 5: Derry Walk & Giant’s Causeway

You will have the option to join a local guide for a walking tour around Derry’s ancient city centre. The tour will include Guildhall, St. Columb’s Cathedral, the Diamond and the 16th century walls of the town.

We recommend you visit the award-winning Tower Museum before the drive along the north coast commences. Visit Dunluce Castle before you explore the Giant's Causeway, which was formed over 60 million years ago thanks to a volcano. Following this you will return to Derry for leisure time before dining. (B, D)

Day 6: Belfast Tour & Cabra Castle Stay

Day 6 includes a drive direct to Belfast where a local guide will show you around the city centre. With its Victorian buildings and splendid views, Belfast is not to be missed.

You will be invited to visit the docks where the famous 'unsinkable' liner, the Titanic was built in the early 1900's. Following this you will visit the areas around the Malone Road and Falls where the struggles of the latter part of the 20th century famously took place.

Enjoy some free time to look around on your own before travelling south to Kingscourt. You will arrive around mid-afternoon which will give you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere and facilities of this lovely property. Don't forgt to try out the 9-hole golf course!

After dinner in the Court Restaurant enjoy some traditional Irish step-dancing. (B, D)

Day 7: Dublin Open-Top Bus Tour

Following your breakfast, the tour will travel to Dublin and check in around midday to a different Dublin hotel in the Georgian side of the city.

The afternoon is free which provides the perfect time to use your open top tour bus vouchers. You may also visit Guinness or Jameson and sample some of their produce on this 23 stop tour.

Choose a restaurant to dine in tonight or you may choose visit the many pubs situated in the famous Temple Bar area nearby. (B)

Day 8: Tour Ends Dublin Airport

A group transfer is available to Dublin Airport at the following times:
