Why did you join myguideIreland?
I have travelled quite a lot all over the world and Ireland has
always been the most beautiful no matter where I went. The fact that
myguideireland sell holidays to Ireland appealed to me as I know so
much about my country and want to bring more people here to see the
beauty of it. I want to share my knowlege of my country and help people
to have the best Vacation to Ireland at a great cost.
What is your favourite part of Ireland?
I am lucky because I live in my favourite part of Ireland, West
Cork. I live in Rosscarbery and it is one of the most scenic and
beautiful places in the world! The beaches in West Cork are endless
and there are so many little pubs and restaurants to choose from
throughout West Cork.
What is your favourite visitor attraction?
My favourite visitor attraction would have to be the Ailwee Caves
in the Burren, County Clare. I have been with my children several
times and they loved it. The tour is really interesting in the cave,
and it is very well organised. You can also climb up the mountain
behind it and the views are fantastic from there.
What is your favourite Irish food restaurant in Ireland?
Fifth Avenue restaurant at the Fairview Guest House in Killarney.
It is the best meal I have had, the food is out of this world and
service great too.
Which is your favourite pub in Ireland?
My favourite pub is Shanleys pub in Clonakilty. They have great
musicians there every night of the week. You could go in there on a
Saturday night and Mary Black could appear up to sing! Great Craic
guaranteed. Also my local pub in Rosscarbery, The Abbey Bar is one of
my favourite pubs, they serve a great dinner on a sunday evening and
the music there on the weekends is great too, you will always get a
warm welcome there!
Where do you like to shop?
I love to shop in Galway! All of the shops are within walking
distance of each other on the cobbled streets. There's nothing like a
day of retail therapy in Galway followed by a pint in the Kings Head!
Favourite getaway in Ireland?
I love going to Killarney or Galway for a weekend away. They are both great for shopping and there's so much to do!
Given your experience what advice would you give to people coming to Ireland?
Make sure to pack your rain gear and several pairs of comfortable
shoes so that you can enjoy every minute! Make sure to bring your
camera with you so that you can capture every bit of beautiful Ireland!
