Loch Lein Country House Hotel

A delightful country house hotel, tucked away overlooking the famous Killarney lakes and mountains, Loch Lein is a true heaven of Irish hospitality.

Loch Lein Country House Hotel is situated outside Killarney along a secluded country road overlooking Lough Lein and the towering mountain range, the Macgillicuddy Reeks. A peaceful, attractive and immaculately kept house, Loch Lein has a relaxed atmosphere, from its lobby with sweeping staircase and drawing room elegantly fitted with cosy furnishings, mellow colours and charming homely features. While the warmth and hospitality of your hosts make Loch Lein seem more a home than a hotel.

Each of the guest rooms are fabulously appointed and hugely spacious. Every attention to detail is afforded, beds are lavishly sized, furniture attractively old fashioned, while bathrooms are very well laid out with lots of space. Stunning views and some thoughtful touches all go to enhance a comfortable and relaxing stay at Loch Lein. While the hotel also has very good facilities and rooms to cater for wheelchair access.

The Legends Restaurant at Loch Lein is situated in the light and airy dining room with views overlooking Killarney's lower lakes. The daily changing menu uses fresh locally sourced produce to create fabulous modern Irish cuisine; traditional dishes brought up to date with some continental touches. In the short time that it has been open the restaurant has been making a very positive impression in local culinary circles.

The emphasis at Loch Lein Country House is very much on friendly personal service and very high standards of accommodation and cuisine making a warm and intimate little retreat offering the up most in Irish hospitality.

A number of relaxing activities are available in the area, from fishing in the Lough, walking through the Gap of Dunloe , sampling some of Killarney's colourful culture or golfing at Killarney, Ballybunion or Waterville.

The location is not so good that it is far from the town center, however, the view is lovely.

Testimonials

"I just wanted to let you know our Ireland trip was fabulous!!
Thank you so much!
Your recommendation to Adare Manor was a top tip!
I went to Ashford Castle as well, it was very very nice to, but my preference is still Adare Manor.
I just wish that I had booked 2 nights there instead of just one.
The B&Bs were TOP too! Especially the one in Kilkieren up in Galway. Barbara was lovely and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable.
The Hillside House is definately one you can recommend to anyone!" -- Silke
