Description
Georgina traveled the world and brought it home to Ireland –
all the premier products for an eco-conscious lifestyle. She buys from three main suppliers who source
all over the world. Unfortunately, very
little is produced in Ireland – yet. I
spotted recycled paper from a Dublin-based company and Wildes Handmade Irish
Chocolates new line of Organic bars.
Find fresh-baked rye, wheat, and spelt breads. An amazing selection of German-made, wooden-handled
brushes with all natural bristles. Lots
of bulk organic goods and teas. Upstairs
is a boutique of fair trade goods, from Indian pillows to African feather
dusters.
A café is due to open this summer, with bamboo wooden tables
in an upstairs, sunlit room. It will
serve fresh vegetarian wraps, homemade soups, cookies, and fresh breads, all
made from local ingredients whenever possible.
There is a juice bar downstairs and dainty green tables set on the
sidewalk like lily pads. You know what
they saw about frogs being the barometers of the ecological state of a
region. This place is attracting a lot
of them, including me.
