The Mount Falcon Estate lies amid 100 acres of secluded woodlands and along the salmon rich banks of the River Moy one of Ireland's great fishing rivers. This manor house was built in 1876 as a wedding gift from a husband to his bride and has through most of its life existed as one of Ireland's finest shooting and fishing lodges.
The 32 bedroom exclusive four star manor house hotel was restored and extended in 2006 providing sumptuous accommodation decorated to the highest standards. Each bedroom at Mount Falcon is spacious with super king beds, custom designed free standing furniture, generous sized ensuite bathrooms with large showers and baths, all decorated in soft and tranquil colours.
The striking "Kitchen" restaurant is located in what was the kitchen of the old manor house where guests enjoy first-class, fresh, locally produced food in an intimate and friendly environment. The "Boathole Bar" is located in one of the original entertaining rooms of the house and is an ideal place to unwind after a day's fishing on the river or following a round of golf on one of the twelve golf courses including four magnificent championship links golf courses within a thirty mile radius from the hotel.
As well as the double banked Moy River salmon beats on the property, Mount Falcon also boasts its own three acre lake stocked with Rainbow trout to make this truly a fisherman's paradise. The hotel also has a relaxing 17 metre pool, gym and spa to further enhance the experience at this truly outstanding estate.
"I just wanted to let you know our Ireland trip was fabulous!! Thank you so much! Your recommendation to Adare Manor was a top tip! I went to Ashford Castle as well, it was very very nice to, but my preference is still Adare Manor. I just wish that I had booked 2 nights there instead of just one. The B&Bs were TOP too! Especially the one in Kilkieren up in Galway. Barbara was lovely and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable. The Hillside House is definately one you can recommend to anyone!" -- Silke
