Please read the following Booking Terms and Conditions carefully before completing the Confirmation Form.


Please note:
Changes to or cancellation of part or all of your travel package must be notified to myguideIreland in writing before we can make any changes or cancellations.


1.      Deposits & Payments
:

For package bookings made more than 10 weeks before departure, a non-refundable 20% deposit of the land-cost total is required. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to departure.Escorted Tours; a non-refundable deposit of $250 per person. The remaining balance is 60 days prior to departure.Airline tickets must be paid in full at time of purchaseThere are certain exceptions to these deposit requirements for certain products and they are listed below. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards cheques and bank transfers. 

 

2.       General Cancellation Fees:
Up to 10 weeks before date of arrival - loss of deposit
Between 9 to 3 weeks before arrival - 50%
less than 3 weeks - 100% 
However Cancellation insurance is available.

 

3.       Cancellation of flights & ferries
In cases where flights/ferries are part of your package the ferry company/ relevant airline’s cancellation policies apply to that portion of your package. For flight and ferry reservations it is the responsibility of the Guest to familiarise themselves with the cancellation policy of the relevant airline/ferry company.
Please note: most economy airline and ferry tickets are non-refundable. 

 

4.       Air Line Tickets:
All Airline tickets once issued are subject to cancellation penalties or change fees if the Guest needs to cancel or change their travel arrangements.Airfares cannot be guaranteed until such time as they are paid in full and airline tickets issued. Occasionally airlines will make changes to their flight schedules, which may result in a Guest being unable to make their connections. In this event if new airline tickets need to be purchased the Guest will be liable for this additional cost. In situations where airline flight schedule changes result in extra costs to the Guest such as extra nights accommodation, extra days car rental etc, Guests will be liable for these extra costs themselves. Please note that if you take flights within Europe or internally in Ireland or Britain, different weight and other restrictions may apply for these flights as individual airlines have different policies regarding baggage handling, weight restrictions, seating etc. Please ask your vacation specialist for more information.    

 

5.       Ferry Tickets: 
Ferry quoted in the Guest itinerary can only be guaranteed on receipt of the booking confirmation and when the ticket is purchased and paid for in full. Cancellations or changes made after tickets have been issued are subject to a cancellation/change fee. In situations where fthe ferry company schedule changes result in extra costs to the Guest such as extra nights accommodation, extra days car rental etc, Guests will be liable for these extra costs themselves. Cancellations made on non-refundable tickets can receive no refund. myguideTravel cannot issue duplicate ferry tickets. Guests who wish to redeem frequent traveller points must retain the passenger coupon at the back of the ferry ticket. 

 

6.       Car Rental:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your booking confirmation.
It is the Guests responsibility to notify myguideTravel if they are in breach of any of the car rental company’s terms & conditions.
Specific terms & conditions apply to cars rented in Southern Ireland & Northern Ireland. Guests should select the car rental company included in their quotation and check their specific terms & conditions. The Car Rental Company will require a credit card imprint when you are picking up your car to cover any excess (deductible), fuel deposit etc. If you do not carry a credit card you will need to pay a cash deposit to cover this excess (deductible), fuel deposit etc.
Cash rentals are not allowed on all car types so please check the Car Rental terms & conditions from the relevant car rental company: 
Hertz, Avis Car Rental
All our Car rentals include 3rd party insurance, collision damage waiver, unlimited mileage, and all taxes.
There are no hidden costs or taxes but all car rental companies will offer additional optional insurances at the point of pick up. If you take out these additional optional insurances you will be billed directly by the car rental company. 

 

7.       Hotel Accommodation: 
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your booking confirmation.  myguideTravel will endeavour to book the hotels requested by the Guest but will offer an alternative of the same standard as close as possible to the location requested if the Guest’s first choice is not available. Where the first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable the booking deposit/payment on your hotel accommodation is refundable.  

 

8.       B&B Accommodation:
For guests who purchase B&B Vouchers, myguideIreland will make B&B reservations on their behalf for a fee of €10.00/USD$15.00/GBP£8.00 per B&B reservation.
B&B’s will require the Guests credit card number to secure this reservation.

 

9.       Self-Catering Accommodation:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your booking confirmation. myguideTravel will endeavour to book the self-catering property requested by the Guest but will offer an alternative of the same standard as close as possible to the location requested if the Guest’s first choice is not available. Where the first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable the booking deposit/payment on your self-catering is refundable.

Please note: Extras, such as heating, electricity are not included in the self-catering rental price unless otherwise stated and are payable on departure directly to your self-catering contractor. Telephones are generally not provided in self-catering accommodation. 
A security deposit may be payable on arrival and will be refunded at the end of your stay provided the property has not suffered damage.
Towels may not be included in your rental, please ask your agent

Dogs: A limited number of self-catering properties allow dogs in the self-catering property. These must be advised in advance of booking. An extra cleaning charge will be payable per dog.

9.A Specific Self-Catering Properties:
The following properties have specific deposit requirements and cancellation penalties:
Cloghan Castle, Ballyhannan Castle, Caher Lodge, Glandore Cottages, Lisheen Castle, Adare Manor Townhouses and Luxury Villas, 
Deposit Requirements for the above properties: Booking deposit 50% of 1 week’s rental.Balance due 10 weeks before arrival date.
Cancellation Policy for the above properties
Up to 6 weeks before date of arrival - loss of deposit
6-3 weeks 75% of total rental cost
Less than 3 weeks 100% of total rental cost 
Other Selected Self Catering Properties:
Cashelfean House 1 & 2,  Carbery House 1 & 2 & 3 & 4, Aspen House, Maple House, Linden House - South & West Wing, Holly House, Silver Birch - West & South Wing, Kilmocane House, Ballyvonane House. 
Deposit Requirements for the above properties: These properties require 1 full weeks rental as a deposit..
Cancellation Policies for the above properties: 1 full weeks rental is non-refundable should the booking be cancelled 

10.   Shannon Cruising:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your booking confirmation.  
Deposit Requirements for Shannon Cruise Boats:
Cruise boats booked more that 90 days prior to departure require a non-refundable deposit of 40% for total cruise boat rental price. Cruise boats booked within 90 days of departure require full payment at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy for Shannon Cruise Boats:
Bookings cancelled 90 days before travel loss of 40% deposit.
Bookings cancelled within 90 days of travel - no refund.  

 

11.   Escorted Coach Tours:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your booking confirmation. Tour bookings made more that 10 weeks prior to departure require a non-refundable deposit of USD$250/£125 plus flights + insurance (where applicable), to secure a place on the tour. If the booking is made within 10 weeks of departure, full payment will be required. Once your place on the tour is confirmed any cancellation or change will be subject to cancellation penalties or change fees.
The default room type with our tour partner is double occupancy twin room. If you require a different room type please request it at time of booking.

Tips:   Tips for services of a personal nature and to staff for services provided are not included in any of the packages and are left to your discretion. 

 

12.   Unused package arrangements:
myguideTravel cannot make refunds or exchanges for unused accommodations, services or features of any package unless agreed upon prior to departure. Claims or disputes should be submitted to myguideTravel in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour. 

 

13.   Mobile Phone Rental:
Guests travelling to Ireland only (service not available to Guests travelling to the UK) can rent a mobile phone through myguideTravel. The minimum notice required to rent a phone is 5 working days. Rental requests within 5 days cannot be guaranteed. Mobile phones will be sent to the Guests first nights accommodation to be available for collection when the Guest arrives. For Guests who are travelling on Go as you Please vouchers or who have not pre-booked their first nights accommodation  myguideTravel will endeavour to make individual delivery arrangements with the Guest.                  
Cancellation Policies:
 
Up to 2 weeks prior to arrival:  no cancellation fee.
2 weeks - 4 days EUR.25.00/USD$32.50/GBP£18.00
If the phone has already been delivered to the pick-up point EUR.35.00
If the phone is damaged or lost there will be a charge of EURO€80.00/USD$104.00/GBP£56.00

14.   Travel Insurance: 
IMPORTANT: myguideTravel is not responsible for mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, misconnections or related expenses to/from flights or other circumstances beyond its control. To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend you purchase optional travel insurance. MyguideTravel offers Trip Insurance to Guests.
      
Cancellation Insurance Travelling From Europe:   Holidays, which include flight/ferry and land; 9% of total package cost. Holidays with land only; 5% of total package cost.
If a Guest books land only and then comes back and books flight, they will be charged 9% on the total package price less the 5% already paid on the land only.

15.   Trip Insurance Travelling from USA & Canada:
MyguideTravel offers Trip Insurance through CSA Insurance (to US Guests only).  Please note cancellation due to Volcanic Ash Cloud may not be convered with this policy please check with your Ireland Guide. The cost of Trip Insurance is based on Guest age and Trip cost for full details speak to your sales guide or click on the following link:http://www.myguideireland.com/travel-insurance 

 

16.   Payment Policy:
Full payment must be made no later than 10 weeks prior to arrival date. In the case of bookings made within 10 weeks of date of travel full payment is due immediately. MyguideTravel accepts payment by major credit cards, bank transfer or cheque If payment is not received, reservations will automatically cancel and deposit payment become forfeit. No travel documents will be sent out until full payment has been received. Payments by cheque will not be accepted within 21 days of arrival. In this case myguideTravel will supply bank details to process payment by money transfer.

17.   Documents:
Documents will be shipped 2-3 weeks before departure by ground service provided full payment has been received.
Please note: We need sufficient notice to arrange for early delivery by regular service if customers intend to leave home prior to their travel arrangements with myguideTravel. Late bookings may incur an express service delivery charge. Escorted Tour documents will also be shipped 21 days before travel. Please allow up to 4 working days for travel documents to arrive. 

 

18.   Amendment Fees:
You will be charged an amendment fee of $30/€20/£15 per adult (“Amendment Fee”) by myguideTravel for all permitted passenger-initiated changes made after receipt of deposit or full payment by myguideTravel. Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts and Self Catering accommodations, car rental companies, activity providers etc may charge a fee for changes or cancellation.
Airlines may charge significant change and cancellation fees, which may vary depending on the carrier. Name changes will be treated as a cancellation and all cancellation fees will apply.
Please note: Once travel has commenced, any changes or cancellation will be at the expense of the passenger.

19.   Cancellations:
Package tour dates are not guaranteed. Should tour suppliers cancel the itinerary prior to arrival myguideTravel will offer the next available date at no additional land cost. If this is not acceptable, a full refund of all monies paid to myguideTravel will be made. myguideTravel cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a package booking. If you purchase a non-refundable airline ticket, ensure that your travel agent explains the conditions under which the ticket is issued, as myguideTravel is not responsible for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares. 

 

20.   Trip Delay:
myguideTravel will not be in a position to reimburse or compensate for lost travel arrangements due to your arrival into Ireland/Britain being delayed beyond your scheduled arrival date because of delay or cancellation by the air/ferry carrier. We recommend that the Guest purchase our Trip Insurance to protect against this.  

 

21.   Responsibility:
myguideTravel Limited, Unit 8 Curragh Commercial Park, Skibbereen, Co Cork, Ireland is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss a myguideTravel Guest incurs on any travel (organized by myguideTravel), arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organisation, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied to myguideTravel. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. myguideTravel accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight/ferry cancellations due to mechanical problems, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. Customers must bear all such losses or expenses. Airline/ferry tariffs limit liability for passenger baggage. 

 

22.   Currency Rates:
Rates on all myguideTravel websites were valid at the time they were published on our websites. MyguideTravel reserves the right to alter advertised prices at any time prior to departure and without prior notice if circumstances so warrant. Any devaluation or revaluation of currencies may affect published prices.

 

23.   Bed Sizes:
We would like to bring to our Guests’ attention that the terminology used in describing bed sizes is different on both sides of the Atlantic. Please view our page on bed sizes in Ireland to ensure that your understanding of what you have booked meets your expectations. While every care is taken to ensure your requests are met, we cannot be held responsible for misunderstandings based on this terminology.

24.   Applicable Law:
Guests contract with myguideTravel is subject exclusively to and is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the countries they are visiting (Ireland/Britain) and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of those countries (Irish/Britain) courts.
