Park Hotel Kenmare

Timeless elegance, scenic beauty, five star luxury and a pampered retreat are all provided by the Park Hotel Kenmare, undeniably one of Ireland's top hotels.

Nestled within private woodland grounds overlooking Kenmare Bay the Park Hotel is an idyllic retreat in a world of its own. An elegant Irish country house built in 1897; the Park Hotel is an elegant reminder of an age gone by; furnished with opulent antiques and fabulous objects d'art and staffed by well-healed professionals. If that isn't reminder enough of the past the Park has a small cinema, the Reel Room, showing the old classics in the evenings.

Each of the 46 fabulously appointed guest rooms are individually decorated to the very highest standards and in perfect harmony with the period charm of the Park Hotel. These deluxe rooms offer spacious sitting areas, antique furnishings, wonderful views of the bay and all the graces of country house luxury.

Families can enjoy their stay in one of the family rooms with connected sitting area at the Park Hotel Kenmare. Children can play in the fully equipped game room or go on adventure tours through the countryside in the form of a guided children's programme.

One of the Park Hotel's unique facets is its Deluxe Destination Spa, SAMAS and its extensive range of Holistic treatments and therapies from both Eastern and Western traditions. Taken from the ancient Gaelic word describing an experience of "indulgence of the senses", SAMAS is, in contrast to the traditional character of the hotel, a contemporary styled oasis of calm. Secluded and exclusive to residents, SAMAS offers treatments for him, her and couples together, in private rooms and Zen gardens with open air hot tubs. While the Spa also houses a luxurious infinity pool, impressive fitness suite and the Park hosts a range of activities such as Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and meditation classes as well as golfing on the adjoining 18 hole Kenmare Golf Course.

Dining at the Park Hotel is a classical experience in every sense of the word. Silver laden and candlelit tables, refined surroundings overlooking the hotel's graceful gardens, impeccable service and of course exquisite food. The Park's distinguished kitchens are renowned for their award winning cuisine featuring classic Irish dishes with some clever modern twists. All of which is perfectly complimented with a fine selection of wines from around the world.

An elegant taste of Ireland, a perfect retreat and a first class hotel, the Park won't fail to impress.

Rooms and furnishings seem a bit tired and worn. Chair arms worn through on room chairs.

We loved the Park Hotel as well! Again, it was a gorgeous hotel and it was right in the town which made venturing out very easy. The room was spacious and the staff was helpful. The view from our room was lovely as well, and the Samas spa was out of this world! What a great experience!

Don't know if we have ever staid in a more beautiful place. Just a perfect balance of old and new as well as easy access to the town of Kenmare. Again, the staff was wonderful and again, had we known, would have spent more time here. Just a beautiful place.
