Reasons to Ride Ireland

reasons

Travelling from Europe

Within 4 hours of leaving almost any city in Europe, you can be at our motorcycle rental location, loading up the bike of your choice and heading off wherever you wish.  Just think about it for a moment and realise the many benefits of renting a bike against bringing your own. It takes between 2 – 4 hours to fly into Dublin from anywhere in Europe. So this means you get to maximise the about of time you spend in Ireland and not have to waste it on travelling to and from. Bringing your own bike by ferry takes an average of 2 days each way and is costly and time consuming.

Travelling from the USA or Canada
Flights from the USA or Canada will take a bit longer than from Europe but that will not lessen the enjoyment you will get from your biking vacation around Ireland.
Unlike the USA, Canada and mainland Europe our country is warmed all year by the Gulf Stream, which brings warm air and sea current all the way from Mexico across the Atlantic Ocean. It is common practice to ride motorcycles all year round in Ireland, but we carry a rain suit in case!

There is a really good bus service direct from the Airport to our motorcycle rental location in Naas.  Approximate time is 45 minutes to Naas town from the airport.
Likewise a bus from the city comes directly to Naas. Alternatively our company mini bus is available to hire, flat fee of €50 direct from city or airport to our premises.

Reasons to Ride Ireland
Riding in Ireland is like no other vacation you’ve ever had.  One could be fooled into believing that our roads were deliberately created by a motorcycling God to have us smiling from ear to ear as we ride our bikes along them. Irelands culture is full of warmth and you will be made feel welcome wherever you find yourself. Our history is rich with learning and music while castles and old villages grace the entire country. The coastline of Ireland is rugged, wild and truly beautiful and the rock formations in the west are the oldest in Europe.

There are less than 5 million people living here so you will find plenty of space and not much traffic. Food quality is excellent as is the standard of accommodation and tidiness in our towns. Many people have told me that breathing is so comfortable on the island and sinus problems disappear. This is often the case with islands around the world. We have a soft wind called the south westerly’s, which brings non-stop fresh air from across the Atlantic to our shores.
Ireland is on approximately the same latitude line as Newfoundland and Moscow but we very seldom see snow because of the temperate conditions so riding our country is feasible literally all year round.

The Great Ireland Road Trip
The GREAT IRELAND ROAD TRIP website was the brainchild of renowned Indian photojournalist and graphic designer, Sundeep Gajjar. Sunny is a wonderful ambassador of his native India. To say that the quality of Sunny's photography is spectacular is an understatement. He is a wizard with a camera!

You must check out his website - www.thegreatirelandroadtrip.com

We have also used his work to produce an 8 minute video film of Ireland. You can see the video on the Great Ireland Roadtrip website.
