Description
A former mill ingeniously transformed into a hostel, this is
a fun place to be. Located just one mile
from Skibbereen, enjoy all the live music, good eats, and thrills of the town,
staying at a place that is easy on your pocketbook. The hostel attracts the adventurous crowd of
all ages. The summer nights we stayed
there were happening, with a sangria party on the patio one night, and a
dessert-liquor chill out session in the sunroom the next. The mill is were all travelers converge to
share conversation and stories from the road.
I found a spacious, quiet corner here and was able to get a
ton of writing done. There is free
wireless access on the ground floor.
The hostel also hosts Adventure Week for 8-15 year olds,
four days in the summer of kayaking, climbing, abseiling, orienteering,
archery, team challenge, raft building, snorkeling, the list goes on.
This is a great hostel for groups, or a good place to meet
new friends if you are flying solo.
