Discover Ireland's fortresses and castles and other architectural splendors in an 8 Day Tour through the country.  Explore the monastic ruins at Glendalough and travel the road that winds around the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical places in all Ireland.

 

Day 1: Dublin Castle & City Tour

You are entitled to a transfer from Dublin Airport  to your hotel between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon. If your flight arrives later, you will need to arrange your own transfer. 

At 2:00pm you will tour Dublin city centre with a local guide to see elegant Georgian squares, Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green, the Famine Memorial and O'Connell Street. A tour of the State Apartments at Dublin Castle are a must before heading back to your hotel for a welcome drink.

Day 2: National stud & Pub Dinner

You will depart Dublin and stop in Kildare to visit the Irish National Stud. 

Walk through the charming Japanese Gardens before returning to Dublin where the afternoon is free to take your independent open-top bus tour which includes a visit Guinness or Jameson. Head to a typical Dublin Pub for dinner with traditional music, songs and stepdancing. (B, D)

Day 3: Waterford Crystal & Historic Kinsale 

Day 3 includes a visit the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre to see how molten glass is blown into shapes before being cut by hand by experts. 

Next you will drive to Kinsale which is a delightful old fishing town which is now renowned for sailing and award winning gourmet food. Join a local guide for a short walk around Kinsale’s historic centre and then drive a few miles to your elegant hotel. (B, D)

Day 4: Muckross House & Killarney

On day 4 you will drive via Macroom to Kenmare and along part of the Ring of Kerry route for splendid views. Take a tour of Muckross House before heading into Killarney where you have some free time to explore the town.

You will then continue your journey along the Dingle Peninsula, enjoying views of heathery mountains, sandy beaches and rocky headlands. Check in to your hotel before enjoying your evening meal. (B, D)

Day 5: Dingle Peninsula & Gallarus Oratory

Day 5 will allow you to discover the glorious Dingle Peninsula which was made famous by two movies, “Ryan’s Daughter” and “Far & Away.” Next you will drive to Slea Head at the western most tip and tour the Blasket Experience to learn about the Blasket Islands.

Later, you will visit Gallarus Oratory, a small church dating from the 6th to 9th centuries, which has remained watertight through the centuries. Travel up to the Conor Pass and view stunning views before returning to Dingle. (B, D)

Day 6 –Cliffs of Moher & Banquet

On day 6 visit the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, which recalls the era during the 1930s and early 1940s where Pan Am’s Clipper traffic created a hive of activity.

Your tour will continue to Bunratty where you will check in to your hotel. At 2:30 pm the tour will depart for the Cliffs of Moher before returning to Bunratty to experience dinner at the Mediaeval Banquet at Bunratty castle. (B, D)

Day 7: Thu: Home from Shannon

You will recieve a complimentary group transfers are provided to Shannon Airport to arrive at 6:00 am, 9:00 am or 12:00 noon. (B)
