The Horse Show is a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland's affinity with the horse, from the best show horses to the best international show jumpers. It is one of Ireland's largest events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people Ireland and all over the world.
THE EVENT
The Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show will
take over the entire RDS complex in the heart of Dublin from August, 6th to the 10th, 2008. The Show offers something for everyone - whether you are a horse
enthusiast or not!
The Dublin Horse Show is one of the top
international equestrian events in the world.
Watch the best international showjumpers in one of the seats in the Main Area. You can shop everything from aromatherapy to yo-yo's in the exhibition halls with over 300 trade
stands. Enjoy the company of friends and sit back in one of the numerous food outlets,
restaurants and bars around the RDS. Win a prize to the value
of €10,000 at Evian Ladies' Day. Visit the Exhibition of work from Ireland ’s leading craft
designers. Shout encouragement on
the teams in the high speed Hunt Chase. Or rest your elbows on
the rails of the Showing Rings and enjoy the atmosphere.
The Nations'
Cup, the Samsung Super League with FEI, Ireland , for award of the Aga
Khan Challenge Trophy in association with Fáilte Ireland is one of the highlights of the Fálte Ireland Dublin Horse Show. In this elite competition which takes place at eight
international venues the four best
rider/horse combinations from eight countries around the world battle
it out . These eight countries will meet the sitxth time at the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show.

HOW YOU GET TO THE SHOW
The RDS is located in the Heart of Dublin in Ballsbridge.
It is situated on a 42-acre site between The Four Seasons Hotel and
Herbert Park on Merrion Road.
The Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse
Show is staged at the RDS which is situated in the heart of Dublin in
Ballsbridge. RDS is on the main bus routes, the suburban rail line
(DART), close to the major ports, only 16km from the airport and on the
aircoach bus route. Nearby the RDS is plenty of accommodation from
five-star hotels to B&Bs.
