Skibbereen is a busy market town in the heart of West Cork
which offers a wide range of services, facilities and goods. It is a
great choice of good pubs and restaurants in the town in self service locally
grown and produced foods.
Wonderful scenic locations like Mizen Head,
Crookhaven, Dunmanus Bay, Glandore, the long sandy beaches of Inchydoney and
Ownahincha, golf, pony trekking, fishing, boating, whale watching and many
more activities and attractions, are within an easy drive.
The Moorings is a small and exclusive holiday homes development in a lovely
location overlooking the River Ilen and jst a 5 minute walk into the town
centre.
In all there are 10 Detached houses in theis holiday home development. The
houses have 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people in one double
bedroom, one twin bedroom and a single bedroom. The double bedroom has an
ensuite bathroom with shower and all bedrooms are located upstairs. The main
bathroom is also located upstairs and has a bath/shower. Downstairs is a
guest toilet with doors wide enough for wheelchair users to get through.
There is one four bedroom house that can accommodate up to 7 people and is
fully wheelchair accessible. Downstairs is a twin bedroom with ensuite
fully wheelchair adapted bathroom. Upstairs are three other bedrooms (one
double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom).
Pets Welcome
Pets are welcome on request and we have two dog boxes available for use during
your stay. We would kindly request that pets be kept downstairs and away
from the bedrooms and that they sleep outside. An additional charge of
€25 euro per pet per stay will apply, this is payable onsite to the caretaker.

Local Activities/Attractions
Discover spectacular Mizen Head and Mizen Vision, the Irish Lights Signal Station Visitor Centre. Schull Planetarium, Skibbereen, Baltimore and West Cork Model Railway in Clonakilty are a short drive away. If you prefer to relax, there are golden sandy beaches within easy access, which are ideal for swimming or other water sporting activities. Visit the Islands of Cape Clear and Sherkin or relax while riding, angling or sailing. There is a wide range of golf courses to choose from.
