The Suck Valley Way on the border of West Roscommon and East Galway, incorporating part of the O' Sullivan Beara Trail, offers walkers an opportunity to experience the beauty, peace and tranquillity of the oval shaped walk.

The attractive route offers a varied countryside and passes over hillsides, through forest, woodlands, bogland and along the banks of the River Suck and its many lakes and through open countryside of Ireland. There is a wide range of historical and archeological sites en route, including a unique La Téne Stone dating back to the Iron Age. For naturalist and wildlife enthusiasts it is a real heaven, offering a rich variety of flora and fauna.

The walk takes in numerous small towns and villages, while still retaining a rural feeling. 56 miles is the total distance of the walk. The stage from Ballintubber to Castlecoote is the longest stage being 12 miles in length. Mount Mary is the highest point at 510 ft.
