Alternatively, enjoy a drive along Killary Harbour coastline which is the home to Ireland's only fjord.
After enjoying time in Connemara and Mayo you can drive at a lesisuely pace to the Mill Park Hotel. On route you may wish to stop of at the Ceide Fields, the most extensive stone age monument in the world or Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetary,in Co Sligo which is the second largest cemetery of megalithic tombs in Europe .
The Mill Park Hotel is located just outside Donegal Town on the road to Killybegs. Pay a visit to Glebe House, Letterkenny which is a preRegency House, 1828, set in woodland gardens, decorated with William Morris textiles, Islamic and Japanese art etc. The art collection includes 300 works by leading 20th century artists - Picasso, Kokoshka as well as Irish and Italian artists.
Glenveagh National Park is another of Donegal's treaures and covers almost 10,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, glens and woods. It designated a 'Natioanl Park' in 1986 and boasts beautiful lakes amidst breathtaking mountain scenery. It consists of Glenveagh National Park, Glenveagh Castle and Glenveagh Gardens.
For your last two days you will make the journey south to Ennis, Co Clare to the Old Ground Hotel. The Old Ground Hotel is a charming town house hotel offering elegant accommodation in the lively heart of Ennis, a town renowned for its sense of history and Irish culture. Ennis is a great location for touring Co Clare's famous Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Its possible to take visits to Limerick and Kerry from here also if you wish.
