Woodstock

An elegant hotel on a grand scale the Woodstock is surrounded by its own 18-hole golf course in the countryside of county Clare a few miles from the town of Ennis.

A tasteful retreat with an excellent range of facilities, the Woodstock exudes charm and class; its magnificent reception decked out with marble floors, stain glass windows and fresh flowers. Grand open spaces, antique furnishings and light and airy decor throughout, give the Woodstock a sense of relaxed elegance.

Each of the fabulously appointed guest rooms are spacious and individually designed with luxuriously sized beds and elegant antique furnishings. All rooms come with a full compliment of modern amenities and the Woodstock can cater for disabled guests and a range of family groupings.

Grace and elegance can also be found in the Woodstock Restaurant where you can enjoy wonderful views of the countryside while you linger over contemporary Irish cuisine using the finest of local produce, complimented by an excellent wine list. While the refined and intimate setting of the Spikes Bar and Brasserie is perfect for less formal dining and a few friendly drinks.

The Woodstock's excellent range of facilities includes a challenging 18-hole parkland golf course, built to the highest championship standards and landscaped over 155 acres, designed by Dr. Arthur Spring. For non-golfers, the Woodstock has a fully equipped health & fitness spa, with 15m swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym. And in the summer months the Woodstock organises a range of activities for children.

Located less than two hours drive from Shannon Airport and just 3 miles from the town of Ennis, the Woodstock is situated on the road to the famous links course at Lahinch, furthering its golfing credentials and the scenic drives through the Burren, and the famous Cliffs of Moher are also close by.

Guest Reviews of

It is about 2 miles from the town of Ennis, Bedrooms where a nice size and the bar and restaurant were nice. The entrance lobby is bright and welcoming. Ideal hotel for Golfers and for touring Co Clare.

Testimonials

"I just wanted to let you know our Ireland trip was fabulous!!
Thank you so much!
Your recommendation to Adare Manor was a top tip!
I went to Ashford Castle as well, it was very very nice to, but my preference is still Adare Manor.
I just wish that I had booked 2 nights there instead of just one.
The B&Bs were TOP too! Especially the one in Kilkieren up in Galway. Barbara was lovely and couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable.
The Hillside House is definately one you can recommend to anyone!" -- Silke
