Portmarnock Hotel

Portmarnock Hotel is an internationally acclaimed hotel, situated along the coast 8 miles from Dublin with excellent golfing on both the hotel's own links cours e and the renowned Portmarnock Golf Course.

But Portmarnock Hotel has much more to offer than just golf with a hotel that playfully claims to overlook nothing but the sea! The setting is simply sublime; a stones' throw from a fine stretch of sandy beach up the 8 miles up the coast from Dublin, close to the fashionable suburb of Malahide. The hotel has very much a country club atmosphere, relaxed but refined, with bright and airy public areas and friendly staff on hand for offer assistance.

Each of the individually designed bedrooms boast huge bed space and have been cleverly situated with sweeping views of either the sea or the golf course, through their large bay windows or balconies. Each room is elegantly appointed with a range of classy four-poster rooms and deluxe suites to choose from and equipped with every modern convenience. The hotel's range of excellent facilities include the renowned Osborne restaurant serving a wonderful choice of international cuisine with style and charm, along with a superb selection of wines. Portmarnock Hotel also features a leisure centre with an extensive range of facilities, with gym, sauna and Oceana Spa. The hotel can also organise a various of activities for guests.

Golf
Portmarnock golf links course was designed by Bernhard Langer, and the club professional is European Ryder Cup player, Darren Clarke. Inspirational use of natural dunes land features, and the creative use of elevated tees and greens, acutely angled dog-legs, and ninety-eight strategically placed bunkers even test the most accomplished of players. Each individual hole presents its own unique and exacting challenge, which, as the round progresses, provokes and increasing sense of anticipation to discover the delights of the next.

"There are very few locations in Europe which could have allowed me the opportunity and landscape to design such a classic championship links. I hope all those who play it discover its magic and its challenging beauty". Bernhard Langer

Very nice place----although we were looking for a "country setting"--it had all the makings of such except being so close to the airport---but that had advantages on the day we were leaving! It didn't have all the "charm" as the K-Club, but it also had its pluses...overlooking the water was beautiful!Room was smaller but neat and clean...great golf course!

A little hard to findbut that was because we were new to the signage!!!!!!What a beautiful place to start with. Our room was not ready so we put luggage in friends room. When we got back at 8 our room had been missed and uncleaned, they had someone there in a matter of minutes. Received fruit, robes and a note of apology! This trip was all first class.
